What is waxing?
A method of removing unwanted superficial hairs performed using a quick and hygienic method. Wax is applied to the skin in the direction of hair growth; a muslin strip applied to the wax is then pulled opposite the hair growth to remove the hair.
How often can waxing be done?
This treatment can be done every 3 to 4 weeks depending on the client's needs and tolerance.
What is used during waxing?
The tools used are resin wax (other wax is used for facial waxing and more sensitive areas) and for body waxing.
What needs to be done before waxing?
Waxing can only be done when there is some growth of hairs, e.g. at least a quarter of inch or two to three weeks growth. The area to be waxed is cleansed in the office with alcohol and talcum powder is dusted over the area. You are now ready for waxing.
Can anyone have waxing done?
Before waxing can be performed, a few questions need to be answered to get the maximum results. For example, waxing services cannot be performed on clients who are taking some prescription medicines, are having chemotherapy, have had a chemical peel recently, or have been suntanning recently.
